The Vavavato massif is a mountain chain at an average altitude of 2000m between the Ankaratra massif and Vakinankaratra. The crystalline bedrock outcrops and the landscape of pink granite chaos accentuates a distinctly alpine atmosphere in an authentic and unspoiled environment: volcanoes, a myriad of lakes, jagged summits, villages and hamlets where animist communities thrive.
