The Tsingy are emblematic of travel to Madagascar. Marine or terrestrial, these geological curiosities rank among the most astounding on the planet.

01 June 2016 — The Tsingy capture the imagination of Madagascar travelers. Whether marine or terrestrial, these geological formations are among the planet's most extraordinary natural wonders.

Omnipresent across the western reaches of the Great Island, the Tsingy captivate explorers seeking adventure. The Tsingy of Bemaraha in the west, the Tsingy of Ankarana in the northern region, and further south, more challenging to access, the Tsingy of Namoroka near Majunga, each unveil landscapes both unique and breathtaking.

These isolated massifs also reveal distinctive—sometimes endemic—flora and fauna found nowhere else.

Carefully designed trails allow visitors to explore this otherworldly realm with complete tranquility.

The marine Tsingy remain less celebrated yet equally majestic. They frame seascapes of extraordinary beauty, with rocky pinnacles of fantastical form rising from the waters. According to location, they are often graced by baobabs or other pachypodiums, as seen in Moramba Bay and Kamanjara north of Majunga, or Nosy Hara west of Diego.
